The short version

Fly107Prep is a study tool to help you prepare for the FAA Part 107 knowledge test. It's not affiliated with the FAA, and using it doesn't guarantee you'll pass. Free tools are free, no account needed. Paid plans unlock the full app — one-time purchase or a subscription, your choice. You can cancel a subscription anytime and keep access through the period you already paid for. We don't sell your data. The rest of this page spells out the specifics.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using fly107prep.com, the Fly107Prep iOS app, or any Fly107Prep product, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or app. If you're using Fly107Prep on behalf of a school, employer, or other organization, you're confirming you have the authority to accept these terms for that organization.

2. What Fly107Prep is — and isn't

• Fly107Prep is an independent study tool built to help people prepare for the FAA's Part 107 Unmanned Aircraft General (UAG) knowledge test.
• Fly107Prep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or any government agency. "FAA," "Part 107," and related terms are used descriptively, to explain what the product studies for.
• Using Fly107Prep does not guarantee you will pass the real FAA test, obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate, or receive any particular score. Good preparation improves your odds; it does not promise an outcome. Practice questions are FAA-style and written to teach the same concepts as the real exam — they are not leaked, real, or official FAA exam content.
• The information in Fly107Prep (regulations, numbers, procedures) is believed accurate as of the date it was written, and FAA regulations can change. Always verify anything safety-critical or regulation-specific against the FAA's own current published sources before you fly.

3. Accounts, license keys & access

• Fly107Prep doesn't use a traditional username/password account system. Access to the paid app is unlocked with a license key, issued after purchase through Gumroad, Stripe, or Apple's App Store (iOS).
• Your license key is personal to you. Please don't share it publicly or resell access — Gumroad-purchased keys have a per-key device-use limit for exactly this reason.
• If you purchased through Stripe, we generate and store your license key on our servers so it can be verified and, for subscription plans, tied to your active billing status. See our Privacy Policy for what that involves.
• A demo/test key issued directly by us (for support, review, or educator purposes) is for that specific purpose only, not a substitute for a real purchase.

4. Paid plans, billing & cancellation

Fly107Prep currently offers a one-time lifetime purchase and, on some plans, a monthly subscription. Whichever you buy, here's how it works:

• One-time (Lifetime) purchases unlock the app permanently for that license key — no recurring charge, ever.
• Subscription plans (Core Monthly, Fly107 Tutor, and the Tutor add-on) renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime through Stripe's billing portal (available in-app via "Manage Billing" once you're unlocked) or Gumroad's own subscriber tools, depending on where you purchased.
• Canceling a subscription stops future billing but does not refund the current period — you keep full access through the end of the period you already paid for, then access ends. This is the standard, disclosed policy; it is not a partial-period refund.
• Refunds are handled case by case. Email hello@fly107prep.com with your purchase email or license key and we'll take care of it. Gumroad and Stripe purchases both support real refunds through their own systems as well as through us directly — a refunded purchase's access is revoked once the refund is processed.
• iOS purchases (In-App Purchase) are billed, renewed, and refunded entirely through Apple, under Apple's own subscription and refund policies — we don't control or override those.
• Prices are shown before you buy. We won't change what you already agreed to pay for a plan you're actively subscribed to without telling you first.

5. The Fly107 Tutor (AI study assistant)

• The Tutor is an AI assistant built into the app to help explain concepts, answer questions, and quiz you. It uses Anthropic's Claude AI model — see our Privacy Policy for what data that involves.
• The Tutor is a study aid, not a certified instructor or an official FAA resource. Like any AI system, it can occasionally be wrong. For anything safety-critical or exam-critical, verify against the FAA's own published sources.
• The Tutor will never claim to show you real or leaked FAA exam questions — anything it generates in conversation is for teaching and quizzing only, distinct from the app's real, FAA-style practice question bank.
• Free-tier Tutor access is limited to a small number of questions per visitor; paid Tutor access is included with certain plans as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Attempt to bypass, share, or resell a license key or the free-Tutor usage limit.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute the question bank, chart content, course material, or any other Fly107Prep content for a competing product or public redistribution.
• Use the site, app, or Tutor to attempt to extract, generate, or distribute real or leaked FAA exam content — Fly107Prep's own content is original/FAA-style, and we ask the same of how you use it.
• Attempt to interfere with, overload, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, app, or its underlying systems.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access for a violation of these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Fly107Prep name, logo, question bank, course content, chart trainer content, and app design are owned by Fly107Prep (or licensed to it) and protected by copyright and other applicable law. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the content for your own exam preparation — it doesn't transfer ownership or grant a right to redistribute, resell, or publicly republish the material.

Some chart/figure images used in the Embedded Chart Trainer are public-domain excerpts from the FAA's own published Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement, used for study purposes and credited as such where shown.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

• Fly107Prep is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that using it will result in passing the FAA knowledge test or obtaining any certificate.
• Fly107Prep, its creator, and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, app, or Tutor, including a failed test attempt, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded (e.g. liability for fraud).
• You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable FAA regulations, holding any required certificates, and operating any aircraft safely and legally — Fly107Prep is a study aid, not a substitute for your own diligence as a pilot.

9. Third-party services

Fly107Prep relies on third-party services (Gumroad, Stripe, Apple, RevenueCat, Anthropic, Netlify, and others listed in our Privacy Policy) to operate. We aren't responsible for outages, errors, or policy changes on those third parties' own platforms, though we'll do our best to keep things working smoothly and communicate if something's affected.

10. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update Fly107Prep's features, pricing (for new purchases — see Section 4 for existing subscribers), or these terms over time. If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site or app after a change means you accept the update.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a mandatory law of your own jurisdiction (e.g. consumer-protection law) requires otherwise.
